Fresh Off The Sewing Table

For us, the great lesson of 2020 was to simplify and take better care of ourselves. Initially, we approached the challenges of the year by constantly pivoting, in anticipation of "what's next". It took us a while, but we finally realized we were happier, and life was a bit easier if we stopped reacting and let things be what they were going to be. This meant focusing on a single day, and when needed, a single minute. Through this process, we learned there are only a few things we need:
- To make art - be it fiber or other media. This is what gives us joy and a sense of purpose.
- To take care of ourselves, simply and well.
- Explore and appreciate nature. We're inspired to launch an ongoing 'Percent For Nature' donation on all the artwork you choose to collect, in return for all it gives us and your art.
- Stay connected. We've missed you, and we're looking forward to reconnecting with you, in person or virtually.
With these things in mind, we'll spend our days making art, or focusing on the things that support our process. We'll pour our energy into creating art, at the pace it asks of us. We know at times it will tumble out so quickly it will be hard to keep up. Other times, it'll ask that we linger and ponder each day, week, and month it takes to be created. But as soon as the work is completed, we'll be sure to let you know that it's available for purchase, thus allowing us to continue the above cycle.
Thank you for joining us. One way or another, we hope to talk with or see you soon.
