Work In Progress...And A Twin Story
Share
We had our First Friday Art Walk a couple of weeks ago, and a few people commented on the unusual palette of the piece that's currently in progress. What’s unusual is that as compelling as these colors are when used together, neither of us would typically choose to work in pastels.
For us, this is a classic 'what’s it like to be a twin?' experience. Shortly before First Friday, Lori had returned from a trip visiting the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. Every day she was treated to the most spectacular sunrise and sunset. While away, Lori hadn’t checked in with me, so I had no idea what she was seeing from day to day. When Lori returned to the studio, she was astonished when she saw what I had been working on.
Somewhere on a cellular level, I must have been “picking up” on Lori's response to her amazing view. We have had this happen so many times in our lives, that this is a typical and consistent example of how we ARE connected. We are delighted whenever we are given visual proof of this phenomenon.
